Common Sense Solutions for Connecticut’s Environmental and Economic Challenges

Updated: Jul 29

As your Republican Nominee for the CT 33rd District State Senate, I bring 30 years of business, environmental, and public health policy experience, having supported enforcement of CT State Agency Regulations for the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CTDEEP) and CT Department of Public Health (CTDPH), as well as other Federal and State regulations.  Currently, mandated policies of the majority control of the General Assembly and my opponent have had an inflationary impact on ratepayers/taxpayers of Connecticut over the past three election cycles (approximately six years).

There is a Better Way.  When elected, I will work diligently to put into place thoughtful and common sense energy/environmental/public health-related policies adopted by CT State Senate Republicans to protect the fiscal well-being of the ratepayers/taxpayers of Connecticut policies by:

  • ADOPT EPA EMISSIONS STANDARDS

  • PRIORITIZE EMISSION REDUCTION PROGRAMS WITH STATE & FEDERAL FUNDS

  • CREATE A GRANT PROGRAM TO SUPPORT MUNICIPALITIES

  • INVEST IN GREEN SPACES, GREENWAYS & OPEN SPACES

  • MAKE CLEAN AIR FEES FUND CLEAN AIR

  • RECYCLING INVESTMENT

  • LEAN MANUFACTURING

  • HOUSING INVESTMENT

  • MITIGATE VEGETATION LOSS

  • DEVELOP A STRATEGIC PLAN TO IMPROVE THE ELECTRIC GRID, CHARGING STATIONS & ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES

  • FEDERAL EFFORT AND FUNDING - If we’re serious about a greener Connecticut, we must continue to pressure the state’s federal delegation to push for clean energy policies in states to our west that create the pollution that damages air quality in CT. We need a national and worldwide solution, not a state-by-state strategy. At the same time, federal funding must be prioritized toward advancing green transportation initiatives.
